Well, since I'm being honest, this is the page where I keep all the stuff that I think SHOULD be on my web page but doesn't quite fit anywhere else.

Okay... start from more or less the beginning. VIDEO GAMES. I've been playing video games as far back as I can remember... way back in the age when Spy Hunter was the pinnacle of game design. Then Robocop came along... oh, those were the days, back when I spent all my weekends in the bowling alley with my dad.

Even now, I play lots of video games. I even fulfilled one of my childhood dreams, a few years back, working in an arcade. That was kinda fun. Right now, I like playing the Street Fighter games, mainly Capcom's Street Fighter Alpha 2 and other fighting games of the like.

But video games were only the jumping-off point for my primary interest in life, anime, or Japanese animation. A while back, Greg Sepelak, a friend of mine, got me interested in all kindsa stuff - art, anime, video games... he got me back into enjoying life. He also got me hooked on Ranma 1/2, one of the more popular series.

From there, I met up with a bunch of other people - anime really changed my life. The Triangle Area Anime Society, TAAS, got me started in anime with their thirty-hour festivals. When I came to East Carolina University, I even got a small club started up, the ECU School of Anything-Goes Anime, or SAGA, as a take-off on TAAS. Even now, my art style is reflective of the anime/manga style, though I won't be so bold to claim that I draw manga-style. 'Amerimanga,' I think, would be more appropriate. My style came from imitating other artists at first, but right after I started refining my 'own' style I picked up a copy of Gold Digger, where I perhaps latched on to a new 'idol' of mine, Fred Perry! Met him at the first Katsucon, and at the fourth Katsucon and the recent Animazement, and he's a REALLY cool guy!

Another thing I got hooked on here at ECU was the internet (if it wasn't apparent by the amount of text up till now ^_- ) Been making web pages now since 1995 or so, and hopefully this is one of the better ones. (Though you can take a peek at my last attempt at a personal page, if you like...) I've also got a few other pages listed on my index page - these are all the 'current' links to my stuff, really.

But where I really spend most of my time is online in a different form - MUCKing. I usually spend my time on one of two mucks - RanmaMUCK and VirtuaMUCK III. Basically, MUCKs are chat rooms like on IRC, but you actually PLAY the role of a character online, as if you temporarily ARE that character. It's pretty addictive, and sometimes I spend WAY too much time there, but it chases the boredom away and occasionally it's even worth it. ^_^

Oh, if this were anyone else other than an internet geek's page, you'd have seen 'music' up there already. But, no, this is MY page so it's way down here. Okay, it's late and I just forgot. ANYWAYS - my favorite music tends to be in Japanese. Big shocker there. My favorite groups now are Fire Bomber (okay, they're fictional, WAAH, but Macross 7 rocks!), Two-Mix (techno dance-type music), and anything that has anything to do with Slayers. As far as American bands go, I actually like Sponge. Some of their songs. Though if I had to pick a real band I'd probably lean towards Blues Traveler and Counting Crows. I also like guitar instrumentalists like Joe Satriani, and Eric Johnson (whenever he doesn't try to sing). I really like a lot of different kinds of music, most of it rock, though I will listen to other stuff. Anything that has a good beat, basically. :)

Man, can I ever babble when it's late at night. That's... pretty much it for what interests me, at least until I got another all-nighter...
