I don't remember the first time I met Lilly, but I know I was when I could count my age on my fingertips. See... my mom's Vietnamese. There aren't a whole lot of Vietnamese families around - at least, not relative to other nationalities - so there's a lot of networking that goes on here. Another Vietnamese mother, Hoa (pronounced 'wah'), who lived nearby, introduced us to quite a few families, one of which was Lilly's. Hoa's family owned a trailer down at Atlantic Beach, NC, which we'd go to every so often for vacation. We'd usually run into Lilly's family there, since they had a permanent residence in Atlantic Beach.

Many years later, when we entered college, I was glad to find out Lilly was attending the same college as me. We'd always had fun together, but I never really saw her as anything more than a really good friend of mine, until she basically just came out and asked me out a few times. I'm so glad she did, since I'd be a complete mess now without her.

She cooks, she cleans, she puts up with my weird habits... basically, she's perfect! And I ain't sharing. But I will share these pictures. :) If you go to the anime cons we do, you may recognize her cosplaying as "Ginrei" from Giant Robo.
