When I first designed this site, I was going to have a full section devoted to my interests. I figured, no one's going to care, but at least I was going to keep it updated. Then I got bored with the idea, and didn't want to update it. End result: this is my interests section.

"Anime's like crack, only more expensive."
-- someone

So I like anime. Personally, I'm not a big fan of Speed Racer, Gigantor, and the ilk which actually built the foundation of Japanese animation, but I do like most of the stuff starting with Ranma 1/2 and moving forward.

"I don't want the world. I just want your half."
-- Ana Ng, They Might Be Giants)

I like a whole lotta music. I was reared on classic rock, I can stand some country-western and rap (but prefer not to), and surprisingly enough, I like 80s pop and its J-pop derivatives. Hate me later.

The list. can't even begin to order this, since it really depends on my mood, so let's go with alphabetical:

"We're police officers! We're not trained to handle this!!"
-- Rob Schneider's character, Demolition Man

Movies: the one true twentieth-century artform. I don't think the Internet has reached the level of 'art' yet, though it's getting there, in which case it'll be the twenty-first-century artform.

"Powaaaa up!"
-- Marion, Gunbird

As I mentioned before, I like video games. Just for the record, I'm not a social malcontent just because I like fighting games. It's all in the game, and I have strong aversion to kicking people's asses in real life, regardless of how much some people need their asses kicked.

Some of these titles I will always love, even if I don't play them much any more - I've marked these with an *. That said... my current top ten list (10/2001):
