Himura Kenshin
            Wandering swordsman who helped bring the Meiji Dyansty into full swing by assassinating those who stood in the way.  Once called Hitokiri Battousai, he became a legend in his own time.  Now he's taken up a reversed sword, or 'Sakabatou' and tries to protect the people he cares for.  Here are the stats on the man. In recent issues of the manga, you discover that his real name was Shinta.  His teacher, Hiko gave him the name Kenshin.  You also discover that he had been married once before, to a woman named Tomoe.

On the Rurouni Kenshin SONGS album, Kenshin has a solo song of "Aisuru Hito o mamoru tame ni" and a duet with Kaoru called 
"Natsu no e".   Kenshin's voice actress is Suzukaze Mayo, who also did the 2nd Ending for the television series, "Namida wa shitteiru".
